Searching for senior or intermediate Electronics Lab & Field Technicians, to join our expanding team. Working with our Product, Operations, Customer Success, and Partnerships departments, among others, will be needed for the chosen candidate.

Job Position: Electronics Engineering Technician

Experience: All Candidates should have Experience in their Relevant fields.

  • 2+ years of computer hardware and software experience, as well as a fundamental knowledge of applications and programming.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a lab or field technician in a similar field.
  • Electronic equipment technician with at least four years’ experience and expertise in circuit boards, processors, microprocessors, and wiring.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a lab or field technician in a similar field.
  • Experience in the Following for 3+ Years:-
  1. practical experience assembling, soldering, and crimping electrical equipment
  2. Electronic device diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise.
  3. Servicing, debugging and fixing mechanical devices.
  4. Experience setting up, conducting tests, and recording test results in a lab setting

Eligibility: All Candidates must have Qualifications relevant to their positions.

  • A college diploma or higher in electronics or a closely related discipline is required for all candidates.
  • All potential applicants’ Willingness to Travel to Other Regions of Canada and the USA (30%), Particularly California.
  • All applicants must have the right to work in Canada (i.e., possess Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or Valid Work Permit).

Important Duties & Responsibilities:-

  1. When assembling electronics units and electromechanical systems, read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions while putting theory and component knowledge to use.
  2. Carry out equipment or system calibration or preventative maintenance.
  3. As needed, provide assistance to the Smart Home Installation Partners with the installation of home energy stations and technical problems at various client and partner locations.
  4. Test, hone, and analyze electronic and mechanical components in tandem with the engineering team.
  5. Obtain and uphold knowledge of technology, products, and related equipment at an expert level.
  6. Recognize and fix equipment issues, working with manufacturers or field personnel to obtain replacement parts as required.
  7. Examine newly installed equipment to make adjustments or address operational issues.
  8. Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software, create electronic drawings or other graphics for industrial controls, instrumentation, sensors, or analog or digital telecommunications networks.
  9. Set up and use specialized or common test equipment to assess the performance of electronic assemblies, parts, or systems.
  10. Utilizing electronic test tools like logic analyzers, troubleshooting microprocessors, electronic instruments, equipment, or systems.
  11. Establish, coordinate, or carry out quality assurance or control procedures.
  12. Needs for research tools or components, suppliers, reasonable costs, turnaround times, or ongoing operating expenses
  13. Educate and support customers, working with them to identify their needs, find solutions to their issues, or give them information on how to use your products.
  14. To aid engineers, prepare reports or keep records of information on testing procedures, laboratory equipment, or specifications.
  15. Offer user applications, engineering support, or suggestions for installing, upgrading, or improving new or existing equipment
  16. By reading or going to conferences, workshops, or other training, keep up with the most recent tools and software.
  17. Purchase components, and keep inventory and related paperwork current.
  18. Utilizing hand or power tools, assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electromechanical systems in accordance with engineering specifications, technical documents, or electronics knowledge.
  19. To record testing or equipment operation, keep system logs or instructions updated.
